We held our official graduation ceremony for the 2018 Help Yourself Grow trainees on July 6th 2018, at Castlemilk Stables on Machrie Drive. Local MP Stewart McDonald was in attendance to give the now graduates their awards, and some of the Help Yourself Grow trainers and volunteers gave speeches at the ceremony. The soon-to-be graduates of the Help Yourself Grow gardening classes had a celebratory tea in the Hidden Gardens on 20th June. Our trainees did some fun garden-related activities, had a tour of the gardens, put a wish on the wishing trees and enjoyed tea and cakes. Many thanks to the Hidden Gardens for hosting this fun event for our future
Three of our trainees, Leanne, Scott and Andrew attended this annual event at Ingliston, Edinburgh with our trainer Pauline, co-trainer Scott and volunteer Gillian. The trainees had an opportunity to go round the exhibition before doing a demonstration (how to make a bug hotel) at The Caley Grow and Learn stand. Everyone really enjoyed the experience and we will definitely
